Summary: True-Blue is a private couple app for consenting partners. Continuous location sharing and partner notification sharing are off by default, require your action, and can be turned off anytime. An SOS or another location-based safety action may use location only after you grant Android location permission and explicitly use that feature.

2) What data we collect or process
- Account and profile data: Firebase user ID, email address if provided by sign-in, display name, profile photo, and basic profile settings.
- Pairing data: pair code status, couple ID, partner user ID, and pairing/unpairing records needed to connect two consenting partners.
- Chat and media: messages, photos, videos, audio/voice messages, replies, delivery/seen status, and related metadata that you choose to send in the app.
- Location data: precise or approximate location when you grant Android location permission and either turn on
Share my locationor explicitly use SOS or another location-based safety feature. Continuous sharing may continue while the app is not visible through a foreground service with an ongoing Android notification. - Partner notification data: selected notification title, text, source app name/package and related metadata only when you grant Android Notification Access and turn on
Share selected notifications. The app attempts to filter sensitive OTP, banking and payment alerts, but you should only enable this feature if both partners agree. - Device and app data: push notification token, Firebase installation or similar app/device identifiers, app version, device model/OS version, app settings, crash logs and performance/diagnostic information used for delivery, security, reliability and troubleshooting.
- Camera, microphone and storage/media access: used only when you choose to take, record, select, send, or receive media inside the app.
3) How we use data
- To create and maintain your account and paired couple space.
- To deliver chat, media, notifications, location updates, and app settings to you and your paired partner.
- To provide safety and reliability features such as delivery status, live-location status, and troubleshooting.
- To send push notifications for app features you use.
- To prevent abuse, protect users, comply with law, and improve app stability.
Firebase product analytics and advertising analytics are not enabled in this release. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing profiles.
4) Who data is shared with
- Your paired partner: information you choose to share in the app, such as chat, media, location, and selected notification updates.
- Service providers: Firebase and Google Cloud services are used for authentication, database, storage, hosting, cloud functions, push notifications, and diagnostics.
- Legal or safety reasons: we may disclose limited information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect users and the service.
We do not sell personal or sensitive user data.
5) Consent, controls and permissions
- Pairing requires a code or invite flow between partners.
- Location sharing and notification sharing are off by default.
- Before sensitive location or notification-sharing access is requested, the app shows an in-app disclosure and asks you to take an affirmative action.
- You can turn sharing off anytime in the app settings. Active continuous location sharing can also be stopped with the Stop sharing action in the visible Android notification.
- Location sharing uses a visible foreground-service notification while active and is not intended to be hidden or used for stealth tracking.
- You can revoke location, camera, microphone, app notification or Notification Access permissions at any time in Android settings.
6) Security
- Data is transmitted using HTTPS/TLS and stored using Firebase/Google Cloud security controls.
- Database and storage access rules are designed to limit couple data to the paired users.
- Text messages may use app encryption features where available. Media files are stored securely with access controls; do not assume every media file is end-to-end encrypted unless the app explicitly says so.
- No security method is perfect, so please avoid sending content you are not comfortable sharing with your paired partner.
7) Data retention and deletion
- We keep data while your account is active or as needed to provide the app.
- You can delete your account in the app: Profile/Settings → Delete account.
- If you cannot access the app, request deletion here: Delete Account Page.
- After a valid deletion request, we delete your account data from active systems. If paired, the shared couple space may also be deleted for both users, including shared chat/media, location history and partner notification records.
- Deleted data may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or provider logs until automatic overwrite/expiry, or where limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or completion of the deletion request.
8) Children
True-Blue is not directed to children. Do not use the app if you are below the minimum age required to consent to use online services in your region.
9) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
